A reputed BPO company in USA hired us to design and develop
Customer portal on one of the most desired and innovative technologies of the
time, Liferay. They were interested in a portal that is not only easy to access
and navigate but have authentication based portal whereby role based permissions are
assigned to the users for accessing the allocated areas. Another challenge was
to implement a document management system to integrate a workflow based on
multiple types of documents. Incorporating forums, messengers and other
interactive tools was also on priority to ease the interaction between internal
and external users.
Our Liferay portal development
experts had to complete the tasks within short time. It was decided to analyse
the requirements, create a features mapping exercise, before proceeding to present a portal to
the audience that is highly interactive, intuitive and user-friendly. In order to achieve this aim, a variety of interfaces were created. Superadmin was developed to create different accounts for
various clients. The admin could configure, manage their customers portals,
carry out branding and undertake other activities. At the same time, Liferay
developers developed various portlets for proper implementation of tasks on the portal.
A document management portlet with workflow management and notification
capabilities was developed. Also, report center portlet was integrated to
enable clients to publish variety of reports.
We employed all possible resources to get the desired output
